Dribbling into the Details of Basketball (Grades 4-8)
with Preston Gordon

Do you want to learn more about the details of today’s basketball game? If so, then come join us as we dribble into the details of basketball through film sessions. We will focus on combining basic fundamentals with new microskills on the court and in the classroom. We plan to attend a few local college basketball facilities to watch workouts and/or participate in a Q & A with individuals associated with the programs. UVA, VCU, U of R, Longwood, and R-MC are potential programs we could visit. Take your game to another level and become a true student of the game.

ExploreVA (Grades: 6-8)

Want to take day trips to see amazing things Virginia has to offer? ExploreVA will allow students to research various places in Virginia and learn more through exploration of those places in person!
*This course has anticipated field trips to the Luray Caverns, Peak Experience, and Richmond Zoo. Finalized plans will be communicated once enrollment numbers are finalized.

French Cuisine 101 (Grades: 6-8)
with Laura Johnson

Come cook and indulge in French cuisine with Ms. Tynes and Ms. Johnson. Students will dish up delicious desserts like crêpes to savory dishes like ratatouille. Bon appétit!

Game Design (Grades: 8-11)
with Noah Green

Come design with us as we dive into an in depth study of board games, video games, and role playing games. Students will experience a variety of games that challenge them to make decisions, step out of their comfort zone, and move beyond what they learned as a child. By the end of the week, students will create their own game and test it with their peers using principles learned throughout the week.

Helping Hands (Grades: 6-11)
with Erin Yearout- Patton

Join us for a fun filled, four-day community service camp. Helping Hands provides students with volunteer hours as they travel to local community non-profits. Students will learn the importance of giving back and teamwork. These experiences can be used for resume building, college applications, and fulfilling community service hours for school clubs and organizations. We are Helping Hands!

Test Drive a Career (Grades: 9-11)
with Tim Greenway
Check out what options are available to complete a work based learning experience during high school! We will examine all the different ways that you can get credit for a work based learning experience and set up pathways for students to transition into an experience during the following school year.

The Game of Life (Grades: 6-11)
with Lynne Siewers
This life skills program will teach about applying daily living skills, social skills, job skills, health and nutrition, community awareness and money management. Learning life skills will help students understand who they are and what they want out of life. This in turn will create a better future for themselves and for the world around them.

The Great Escape (Grades: 6-8)
with Sarah Smith

Do you like solving cryptic puzzles, finding hidden clues, accomplishing unique tasks, and working as a team? Come and challenge your mind to think outside the box as your problem solving skills are tested in new ways. You will work together to create your own escape room using your new critical thinking skills and knowledge. Will you escape or be stuck with us for the summer?
