Food Science: The Why and How of Culinary Arts (Grades 9-12)

We will cover the scientific portions of the Culinary Arts.
Topics will cover:
- What is taste and how to influence it
- Molecular Cusine, making the impossible possible
- Sous Vide and how it works
- Gluten, how to work with it or without it
This will be a hands on class and students should be prepared to get their hands dirty!
OSHA 10 hour Training: Construction Industry (Grades 9-12)
with Tim Greenway

This course is designed for students wanting an OSHA 10 hour card in construction. Students in building trades and utility/ heavy construction are encouraged to attend but the course is open to any student. Course is limited to 30 students per federal regulation. Students will learn basic safety procedures in the construction industry and how the occupational safety health administration is in place to make the work site safe for the American worker.
** This course will only run Wednesday-Friday of the intersession week.
